- I have a VGA-CGA multiscan - ie it will show DBLPAL/Multiscanmodes as
- well as standard TV modes at 15khz so I can play games and watch demos.
-
- BUT!
-
- It doesnt like syncing properly. It was fine at first but its getting
- worse and worse.
-
- The DBLPAL screen (its perfect in normal PAL modes (640*256)) decides to
- slide to the right. I adjust the horizontal hold. But it also gets
- distorted - vertical lines are not straight down - they curve around.
-
- And after a while it slips to the right again until it falls off the side
- of the monitor and I get a screenful of rubbish.
- I can put it back by opening a PAL screen and it jumps back, but its not
- long before it slides off again.
-
-
- Recently this has been happening more and more quickly and more often and
- I really dont know what to do.
-
- Ive heard that the AGA chips are not entirely VGA compatible so this may
- explain it - or is my monitor broken?
-
-
- Its a Mitsubishi 14" Multiscan.
-
-
- Please respond because I may be able to get it replaced if I act soon.
- Please use EMail as Im not on here often (n.sedger@uea.ac.uk)
-
- Thanks,
-
